Surly Pacer Road Bike Frame 2011 Review

The Pacer isn’t designed to be the fastest or the lightest road bike frame, instead Surly have designed the Pacer to be reliable, fun and comfortable. But this largely understated frame offers more than riders expect. Constructed with a double butted 4130 Cro-Mo tubing design with a Surly ‘Breeze In’ vertical dropouts, effortlessly absorbs any unevenness within the road so that riders are guaranteed a comfortable ride every journey. Complete with a 1-1/8″ threadless fork, the Pacer is able to accommodate a range of different headsets and stems. While the Pacer accommodates almost all common components, including 27.2 seatposts and 68mm bottom brackets. The comfort, versatility and durability of this frame are why the Pacer should be considered a classic.
